When I rub my eyes I see overlapping fragments of geometry zooming through the darkness behind my eyelids. No matter how hard I try to pause them, the patterns are constantly in motion. I choose to think that each of these little kinetic particles is a piece of my past, each one a still frame of something I’ve witnessed months, years or even decades ago. My work interprets, recreates and rearranges those pieces in a way that is not only familiar to me but also the viewer.
